Promotion Period

Prize
The prize consists of a 30 minute flight with Legend Aviation in a Tiger Moth, including aerobatics, and a $50 voucher for Ten O’Clock Cookie Bakery and Cafe.

 

Winning the prize

ENTRY QUALIFIES AS ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1.    PROMOTER: Wings Over Wairarapa

2.    ELIGIBILITY: The competition is open to anyone who shares images of Wings Over Wairarapa. All entries must be submitted by midnight, 11 December 2023. Due to health and safety regulations, the prize winner cannot be under 14 years of age.

3.    HOW TO ENTER: To submit a photo for entry in the competition, you must use the image uploader. Multiple entries may be made.

4.    PHOTO AND VIDEO REQUIREMENTS: The photo(s) and/or video(s) must meet reasonable standards of decency. Wings Over Wairarapa has the sole discretion to determine whether or not a photo meets these requirements. All photos must be either JPG or PNG format.

5.    HOW TO WIN: The winner will be chosen randomly by the Wing Over Wairarapa team.

6.    PHOTO WINNER NOTIFICATION: The photo winners will be announced on our Facebook, Website and Instagram.

7.    PRIZE: A joyride in Legend Aviation’s Tiger Moth and a $50 voucher to the Ten O’Clock Cookie Bakery and Cafe.

8.   ANNOUNCEMENTS: By submitting a photo for entry, each entrant hereby agrees to participate in any publicity related to the competition. Entrants and winners in the competition agree that their identity may be disclosed in winner announcements and promotional material. Winners also agree to have his/her image used for publicity purposes without any payment being made.

9.    PHOTO USAGE: By submitting a photo, the entrant agrees to allow Wings Over Wairarapa and its partners permission to use the image for the purposes of promoting Wings initiatives, now and into the future, at no cost to Wings Over Wairarapa. The entrant also agrees to allow Wings Over Wairarapa to use their photo for printed collateral, online, in store and across other marketing mediums, at Wings Over Wairarapa’s sole discretion and at no cost.

10.    PHOTO TALENT: By submitting the photo, the entrant declares that they have the permission of all individual(s) captured in photo(s) to share and publish their image.

11.    PHOTO COPYRIGHT: In submitting a photo for entry, the entrant declares that they have taken the photo and own and have sole and complete intellectual property rights to the photo.

12.    ENTRY FORMAT: Acceptable entries will be photo files from either digital cameras or smart phone cameras or electronic scans. No images supplied in hard copy will be accepted.

13.    PERSONAL INFORMATION: The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Laws of New Zealand. Your personal information shall not be provided to any third parties without your prior consent, but you do authorise Wings Over Wairarapa to be able to contact you with information pertaining to the competition or related promotions.

 

FAQ’S FROM LEGEND AVIATION ABOUT THE FLIGHT

  • Do I need to wear anything specific for my flight? Simply dress comfortably and wear closed toe shoes. We will provide you with a set of overalls, a flying jacket and leather helmet complete with flying goggles!

  • Can I take photos? Absolutely! If you wish to take photos during your flight, the camera or cellphone must be securely strapped to your wrist.

  • Do I need to be medically fit to fly? Yes, if you have any conditions that may affect you during the flight, please let us know. For safety reasons, you also must be able to get yourself in and out of the aircraft.

  • Are there any age restrictions? Age/weight/size. Yes, our operating certificate requires our passengers to be at least 14 years of age. Weight limits very per aircraft, and while we can accomodate most body sizes and heights, please let us know if you weight exceeds 110kg so we can plan accordingly.

  • I need glasses to see… can I wear them on a open cockpit Tiger Moth flight? Absolutely! Your glasses (or sunglasses if you wish to wear them) will be very secure under one of our leather flying helmets.

  • How long is a gift voucher valid for? Gift vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

 

Other

  • These terms and conditions may be amended, and the Promotion terminated at any time by Wings Over Wairarapa.

  • The Winner takes the Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies Wings Over Wairarapa in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the Prize.

  • Wings Over Wairarapa’s decisions on all Promotion matters are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • Participants grant Wings Over Wairarapa permission to use their name, photograph, voice and film recordings in which they appear, in connection with the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.
    This includes the right to use on the Wings Over Wairarapa website, Facebook pages, on air and any other publications of Wings Over Wairarapa.

  • Any personal information provided to Wings Over Wairarapa will be collected, held and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Wings Over Wairarapa will collect and use, for the purpose of the Promotion, your personal information. You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal information (where such information is readily retrievable) by contact Wings Over Wairarapa.

  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Meta Platforms.

  • The Promotion is subject to these Specific Terms and the Standard Promotion or Competition Rules below.

  • By entering into this Promotion you have agreed to accept these terms and conditions.

Wings Over Wairarapa Responsibility

  • Wings Over Wairarapa reserves the right to amend, vary, extend or discontinue the Promotion at any stage, for any reason.

  • Wings Over Wairarapa takes no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude the Promotion due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, Force Majeure or otherwise.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law Wings Over Wairarapa will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever.

  • Where the Prize is to be supplied by an entity outside of Wings Over Wairarapa’s control and that entity fails, for whatever reason, to supply the prize, Wings Over Wairarapa has no responsibility for the provision of the Prize and is not obliged to provide an alternative Prize or take legal action to require the Prize supplier to provide the Prize.
