TICKETS

For refund requests please email support@eventfinda.co.nz with your order ID and email address tickets were sent to.
Our support team is working through requests and will respond as soon as possible.
Holders of multi-day tickets can expect further updates in the coming week.

Unfortunately tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
When you purchase your ticket to a specific day, we gear up equipment, volunteers and facilities as appropriate.

All tickets remain valid for the new dates announced. Please note, tickets already purchased will have February dates but the all-important QR code will continue to work.
For those who are unable to make the new date, email support@eventfinda.co.nz before midnight Sunday 12 March to request a refund.

General Admission tickets will be available for purchase at the gate at an increased price from pre-purchased tickets. High Flyer tickets should be pre-purchased as they are limited in number.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A TICKET MOVE DIRECTLY PAST THE GATE TICKET BOXES TO THE TICKET SCANNERS.

Tickets can be bought by going to Eventfinda
If you are standing in a queue you can book tickets online via your mobile phone and they will be emailed to you. Go directly to the gate once you have received them and they will scan your barcode and let you in.

To purchase tickets online with our ticketing partner, Eventfinda, you will need to create an account if you don’t already have one.
Alternatively:
- Call Eventfinda on 0800 289 849 to purchase over the phone
- Contact the Masterton or Martinborough i-SITEs to purchase tickets through them.
ACCOMMODATION

Is there any accommodation still available in Wairarapa? There are many diverse options for accommodation in the Wairarapa and there is still availability.
Please see www.wairarapanz.com. Most years there has been accommodation available right up until the Air Festival. Otherwise, check out accommodation in Wellington; or Manawatu which are both within 90 minutes easy drive from the Wairarapa.

We have partnered with Masterton A&P (Solway) Showgrounds to provide motorhome sites located just a short distance from Hood Aerodrome. A free shuttle service will be provided throughout the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to transport motorhome guests from the Showgrounds to Hood Aerodrome and back again.
Note: there are no motorhome camping sites available at the Wings Over Wairarapa event grounds in 2023.
AIR AND STATIC DISPLAY

All day unscheduled practice on Friday and non-stop entertainment from 10.00am – 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

All stalls and static displays are open to the public from 12.00pm.
No official flying programme, practice sessions only for the air display team. Please note that we will be hosting Wairarapa school children onsite all-day Friday.

Any accounts offering live streaming of the Airshow are fake accounts and should not be engaged with.
We will be showing social content, but there will be no official live stream of the entire Airshow available.

GETTING HERE

Taxi and drop off only vehicles will be able to use the bus lane. Please follow the signs coming into the event site.

No. Please inform Security if you see this happening. Exceptions are made in the Disabled Car Park where people need to be close to their car for medical reasons.

Parking at the Air Festival is free.

No dogs are allowed in the car park or at the Aerodrome.

The car parks are paddocks, however, we do our best to fill in rabbit holes and large bumps or potholes.
We have used these paddocks previously and not experienced any problems.
Please not that no overnight parking is permitted, as we’ve partnered with Masterton A&P (Solway) Showgrounds.
As per our Terms and Conditions of ticket sales, you do park at your own risk.

Camping is NOT allowed on the airfield or in the car parks.

Gates open on Friday at 12.00pm and close at 5.00pm; Saturday and Sunday open at 8.00am and close at approximately 5.00pm.

Shade tents - not gazebos as they’re both a wind and line of site issue, like the smaller ones that people take to the beach. Please be sure it’s weighted down adequately so it doesn’t accidentally become a hazard.

Prohibited items include:
Drones
Banners with poles
iPads or Tablets
Cans or glass of any kind
Strictly NO alcohol or illicit drugs
Commercial food and drinks, including takeaways
Metal utensils and containers, cutlery, etc.
Dangerous goods
Fireworks, flares, lasers or flashlights
Knives, Tasers, Mace, Chains, Spurs or Studded Jewellery
Offensive weapons including, but not limited to, any object that may be used as a projectile such as glow sticks, balls, containers, etc.
Air horns and loud hailers
Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles or scooters
Unauthorised promotional, marketing or advertising.
Animals (excluding service dogs such as guide dogs and police or emergency service dogs)
Any other items deemed by management to be illegal, dangerous or a nuisance to yourself or others.
Please note that prohibited items will be confiscated and will not be returned.
If in doubt, leave it at home. Management takes no responsibility for confiscated items.

Saturday is our busiest day however the Sunday programme is similar to Saturday and it is often easier to move around and see exhibits.

There are plenty of clean toilets located around the Air Festival.

We have 3 water stations around the Air Festival where you can refill your bottles. We encourage you to bring your own bottle to cut down on plastic waste.

The Air Festival will continue if possible. There may be delays. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If it is a total washout, a decision regarding refunds will be made depending on the circumstances and in accordance with NZ Law.

Yes! Thanks to the Cancer Society who are providing free sunblock over Wings weekend.

You MUST have a mobility sticker, please place it on your car to assist security.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND FIRST AID

All of the Wings over Wairarapa team, our contractors and exhibitors operate under the 'Health & Safety at Work Act 2015' and we have a designated H&S operator on-site at all times to oversee and manage this area.
We kindly ask for your support on this matter to ensure we continue to operate a safe and enjoyable event for all parties. Please report any issues, incidents or accidents witnessed to a member of the crew or management team immediately at the Air Festival.
Emergency services can be found at the Air Festival and are on-site for the entire weekend to respond to any medical issues.

All children should be escorted to the Information Tent, next to the First Aid tent.

Lost property queries should be directed to the Information Tent.
MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY

Yes, for private use only. Any commercial footage required needs to be negotiated with Wings Management prior to the Airshow. We have our own DVD camera team and official photographers and no others are entitled to take photos or film for commercial use. Media need to apply for a Media Pass HERE. Please see our Terms and Conditions on the website.
