BRINGING YOUR CHILDREN TO WINGS?
We pride ourselves on being a family friendly air festival with entertainment for everyone. Whether young in age or young at heart, there is plenty to see and do.
To help your children (and you) have the best day possible, here's some hints:
Slip, Slop, Slap - It's usually hot. Bring plenty of sunscreen, hats and light clothing. The Wairarapa Cancer Society will be on site with sunscreen and advice but come prepared.
Water - We'll have water stations but please bring bottles with you so you can fill these up.
Food - There will be lots of places to buy food but you are welcome to bring a picnic with you.
Parking - It's a big area and there is likely to be a walk from your car to the Air Field. Consider taking the bus, the train or our shuttles from the carparks for a gold coin donation.
Children's Entertainment - We'll have lots of children's entertainment on site, but some of it will cost so please bring coins and cash with you. We'll have cash machines on site as well.
Lost Children - We have a large volunteer team who will all be easy to spot in distinctive teeshirts, if you have lost a child let one of our volunteers know. It’s also a good idea to show your children at the beginning what the volunteers look like.
